Ford Mustang GT Concept  2003

With 39 years of storied automotive history, 8 million customers and legions of rabid fans to satisfy, Ford is introducing two all-new Mustang design concepts at the Show 2003 North American International Auto.

Mustang GT concepts draw on elements that really have made Mustang the definitive American sports car for nearly four decades. Their exterior design is clearly inspired by some of the extroverted Mustangs of the past and have been created by a design team that took the introspective approach to updating a classic design.

The designs are modern, crisp and reveal the true character of what Mustang means to so many people. The design team looked beyond production models to the Mustang 1 concept for modern inspiration. Just like a Mustang and Mustang Mach 1 car later showed in 1968, the Mustang GT concepts are rarely, radical designs that will appeal to everyone.

Mustang GT concepts are instantly recognizable as Mustangs, yet they stretch the design far into the future with a clearly modern look. As the concept of a Mustang, the GT concept of two-place sportscars: one a coupe and convertible others. Both cars started with the architecture of a modified Ford Thunderbird rear-wheel-drive. This platform is cut to achieve the right proportions. Front-end geometry of all the original? adjusted to accommodate the signature Mustang MOD 4.6-liter V-8.
