DETROIT - Chevrolet today announced the world debut of the car show at the Aveo RS Show 2010 North American International Auto. This display features European-inspired hot hatch that is designed to attract young fans, and the instructions on the next-generation Aveo.

Longer, wider and more spacious than the current production of the Aveo, Aveo RS featuring upscale-looking car design cues both inside and out, and presents many personalization options potentially available on a next-generation car.

"We expect the RS show car Aveo will show that we are as serious about defining the Aveo and its place in the small car segment as we rediscover the Malibu," said Jim Campbell, Chevrolet general manager.

First impressions

Aveo RS show car, finished in electric Boracay Blue, wore the Chevrolet global design cues like the grille element doubles, round taillamps and fender flares, but the designer appears stance on the car show with a low opening and a lower mouth trimmed in a combination of aluminum and polished . Fog lights integrated into the outboard brake-cooling inlet that flows over into the front fender flares, creating an aggressive-looking face.

Headlights open, with structural aluminum surround them, inspired by compassion designer 'for motorcycles. The slim profile is marked with lines impaired body side, a high beltline and low roofline. Side mirrors with turn signal indicator yellow carry the same shape as the car and seemed to disappear into the profile. At first glance, the car really looks like a three-door hatch because the rear door handle quietly located in "C"-pillar area.

"Cars Aveo RS show demonstrates how progressive design can inject personality into a small car," said Michael Simcoe, executive director, North American Exterior Design. "We want customers to see and have an emotional reaction to it."

No performance-minded car street credibility gain without large wheels and tires. Aveo RS Wheels car show is a 19-inch, five-spoke with a gun metal metallic finish Chevrolet logo. Revealed a large wheel openings Boracay Blue brake calipers.

The back of the car show continues the theme of sport, with an integrated spoiler that flows from the roof, center-mounted exhaust and chrome exhaust tips. Inspired motorcycle hit the rear taillamps feature colored aluminum housing and wise bowtie logo.

Spacious and stylish interior

With a matte black interior highlighted by accents of black, and shiny metallic blue, car shows Aveo RS reflects the concern as much detail as the exterior. Boracay Blue theme continues inside, with accent stitching at dual cockpit instrument panel, front and enter the back door, steering wheel rim, gear shift boot, parking brake, leather seats and even increase the floor mats. Integrated center stack holds the gearshift, HVAC controls and sound systems, including a USB port. Ice-blue backlighting on the display, indicators and audio knobs that add a blue stitching.

Inspiration also brought in a motorcycle, with tachometer, round analog set in asymmetrical LCD readout also trimmed in milled metal with round cutouts, and, round aluminum-trimmed side vents.

The interior is as functional as it is stylish, with storage compartments and doors in the center pile. The rear seats fold flat to carry items larger.

Efficient player

Aveo RS show car is powered by a 138-horsepower the same highly efficient (103 kW) 1.4L Ecotec I-4 turbocharged engine that will be available in the upcoming Chevrolet Cruze.

A six-speed manual transmission is designed to ensure this car will provide a spirited driving experience.

For car shows, designers created a special engine cover in silver graphite with aluminum insert. Cooling and cap power steering fluid contents are framed in blue ice, and vents flanking the central nest cover the matte-finished in shadow chrome and designed to adjust the color wheel.

Previously announced new Chevrolet Aveo will be built at the Orion Assembly in Orion Township, Mich., in 2011, a move that will restore 1,200 jobs to Southeast Michigan. Time for retooling Orion Assembly for Aveo production anticipated to begin in late 2010.
